Cornhole can be played as either doubles or singles. In doubles play, four players split into two teams (like some card games Bridge, Pinochle or bingo). One member from each team pitches from one cornhole platform and the other members pitch from the other. The first side of players alternate pitching bags until both players has thrown all four of their bags, and then the players pitching from the opposing cornhole board continue to alternate in the same manner until all four of their bags are delivered and the inning or frame is completed. In singles play, two players play against each other. Delivery is handled in the same manner as doubles play. Both contestants pitch from the same cornhole platform and alternate their pitches until all of their bags have been pitched, completing the inning or frame.
A lawn game is any outdoor game that can be played on a lawn. Many games that are traditionally played on a pitch are marketed as "lawn games" for home use in a front or back yard.
Cornhole is classified as a lawn game, but just because you can play a game outside on lawn doesn’t make it automatically a lawn game. Many games can be played indoors and out example: you can play poker outside or any other card game and it doesn’t classify those games as lawn games. The fact the lawn games can only be played outside, and are traditionally played on the lawn make them lawn games
Cornhole is a game, in which players take turns pitching cornhole bags cotton duck bags filled with feed corn—at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. These platforms are usually made with plywood or occasionally plastic, and are often decorated. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Play continues until a team reaches the score of 21.

These are my favorite boards. The Holy Angels design (far right) was commissioned by the Parish of the same name in Dayton, Ohio. The mascot design is a vinyl rendering sealed with clear coat resin. See "Finishing the Boxes" below for additional finishing details.
While there is no time like to the present to buy some plywood and build your own, we also build CUSTOM premium sets (either folding or AND (!)standard) finished as shown above in limited quantities. Our specialty is 1-3 color designs in cut vinyl that we adhere to the deck tops. We then seal the top with an epoxy table top resin from Evercoat (www.evercoat.com).
Because each design is
CUSTOM
built and finished, we cannot offer a shopping cart ordering facility for our
completed sets.
Please contact me directly via
email for all inquiries regarding design details and pickup information.
More details are on the Products page, but here is the basic pricing summary for our built sets (FOLDING or NON-FOLDING are same price):
